Ralf is a passionate radio amateur and an aviation enthusiast based in Korntal-Münchingen, Germany. His journey into ADS-B and flight tracking began on March 7, 2024, at approximately 1300 CET, when he installed his RadarBox ADS-B receiver under his radio table. This marked the commencement of his efforts to contribute valuable ADS-B data to our network.

His setup includes an ADS-B antenna positioned at an impressive 12 meters on his rooftop, providing an extensive coverage area for aircraft surveillance. Ralf's meticulous attention to detail is evident in his continually improving his setup, and he plans to procure and install an even more efficient antenna in the future.

Ralf's dedication to maintaining a reliable and efficient ADS-B reception station is evident in his choice of equipment. He opted for the AirNav radar box, a cost-effective solution that runs seamlessly for five consecutive days. Despite a brief internet outage on March 11, 2024, Ralf's setup has remained steadfast in its mission to capture and transmit ADS-B data.

One of the most impressive aspects of Ralf's setup is the impressive range of his ADS-B reception station, spanning 380 kilometers. This coverage area encompasses the STUTTGART Airport (EDDS), situated just 17 kilometers away from his location. Ralf's contributions are vital in enhancing the region's efficiency and accuracy of air traffic monitoring.
