What's Unique to AirNav RadarBox: Fleet Utilization Statistics & Airport Heatmaps

Emirates Fleet Utilization Statistics & Route Heatmap

The airport heat route map and aircraft & fleet utilization statistics are an AirNav exclusive feature. Continue reading our blog to find out more!

Aircraft Utilization Statistics

The aircraft utilization basically displays the entire fleet of a particular airline and presents additional data such as:

  1. Average flight duration.
  2. Average flights per day.
  3. Average flight hours per day.

In the case of Emirates, for example, data shows a fleet of 124 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft offering an average flight duration of 5.5 hours across two flights per day, giving a total average flight hours rating of 12.8.

This sort of information would be beneficial to airlines because it can track how often their aircraft are flying and whether there is any potential down the line to increase such numbers going forward.

Airport Heat Maps convert the dry and drab route statistics into informative visualizations, displaying the frequency of flights to different airports or cities from a particular originating airport. Apart from route heat maps for airports, we also provide route heat maps for aircraft and airlines.

This data also determine what destinations are the busiest from that particular airport. An example is seen above from Amsterdam Schiphol, where Frankfurt am Main, Paris CDG, and London Heathrow Airport are the busiest destinations from that origin airport.
