RadarBox On-Demand API

The RadarBox On-Demand API (ODAPI) allows for real-time, scheduled, or historical flight data to be effortlessly integrated into client applications on an as-needed volume basis. This data is aggregated by  AirNav’s ground and space-based ADS-B network and includes over 70 data fields such as Flight Number, Call sign, Registration, Scheduled and Actual Departure & Arrival Times, Aircraft Speed, Altitude, and other flight parameters.

Customers can access real-time data via a secure TCP web socket connection, while historic flight tracking data can be accessed via a download link. The data is primarily provided in 3 formats - JSON, XML & CSV, but can be delivered in other formats upon request.

API Data Categories

The RadarBox ODAPI services the following data categories:

• Airport Data - Access information such as ICAO/IATA codes, cities, countries, weather, time zone, and list of runways.
• Aircraft Data - Access data such as aircraft registration, serial number, company name, first flight, and other statistics.
• Flight Data - Access live and historical flight data such as position, latitude/longitude, arrival & departure airport, etc. 
• Statistical Data - Access statistics of air traffic, airports, and aircraft like total flights per route, model and operator.

1. Airport Data

1. Airport by code - Fetches airport location, elevation, active runways, etc.
2. Airport search - Fetches airport location, timezone, active runways, etc.
3. NAT (North Atlantic Tracks) - Fetches the most up-to-date NAT tracks including waypoints, identifiers, etc.
4. NOTAMS - Fetches alerts that are relevant for a specific airport including NOTAM Class, ID, radius, etc.
5. METAR - Fetches weather conditions in the vicinity of an aerodrome including wind speed, temperature, dew point, etc.
6. TAF - Fetches the latest weather information for a specific airport including wind gust, visibility, wind direction, etc.
7. D-ATIS - ATIS is a service that continuously broadcasts aeronautical information around the airport.

1. Aircraft by ID - Fetches details or statistics for a specific aircraft including serial number, registration, company name, etc.
2. Aircraft Search - Lists all aircraft of a specific ICAO type or company.

1. Get live flights - Fetches real-time information for live flights including position, to/from airports, airline, registration, etc.
2. Search flights by geographical area - Fetches flights have flown over a particular geographical area at a given point in time.
3. Search flights - Fetches past, present, or scheduled flights - based on departure/arrival location or individual flights and tail numbers.

2. Commercial flight statistics - Get statistics for all commercial flights.

4. Major Airport statistics - Get statistics for a specific airport. The response includes total flights tracked, total airlines tracked, etc.
5. Business flights on Major Airports statistics - Get statistics for business flights at major airports.
6. Commercial flights on Major Airports statistics - Get statistics for commercial flights at major airports.
7. Statistics for Major Airlines - Get statistics on major airlines. The response includes total flights performed by the airline on a specific date & ICAO code.
8. Statistics for Business Jet Operators - Get statistics for Business Jet Operators. The response includes total flights performed by the operator on a specific date & ICAO code.
