Qatar Airways Records Double-Digit Growth in Flights

According to RadarBox data from the past week, Qatar Airways continued to record growth above 20%, registering an increase of 24.21% between November 20th and November 29th. For the week of November 13-19, the airline reported a growth of 21% - a slight increase as compared to the previous week.

Over the months, Qatar's flag carrier has been expanding its frequency of flights and consequently reactivating its fleet to meet current demand. Also, according to sources, the Qatari airline is planning to reactivate its A380 fleet in December.

In the last two weeks, the airline flew 3,304 commercial flights. These figures are higher than the previous week's stats, which showed 3,227 flights in that period, corresponding to 77% of pre-pandemic air traffic.
2019: 4,291 flights (613 daily)
2020: 2,660 flights (380 daily)
2021: 3,304 flights (472 daily)

What's ahead?
With December approaching and Christmas and New Year as well, the trend is for further growth for Qatar Airways and other airlines, most likely due to a surge in international flights with mass vaccination and relaxation of precautionary measures in many countries.
