DHL Express orders 12 electric cargo planes from US-based Eviation

On August 3rd, 2021, DHL Express announced an order for 12 electric cargo aircraft from Seattle-area-based electric aircraft manufacturer, Eviation.
According to DHL, the company is the first to order 12 all-electric Alice eCargo aircraft from Eviation. Eviation's electric aircraft, Alice eCargo plane, is capable of carrying up to 1,200 kg (2,600 lbs) and has a range of 815 km (440 Nautical Miles).

Eviation expects to deliver the fully electric planes to DHL Express in 2024.
DHL is also introducing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or "drones," which will be used to deliver goods and for intralogistics and surveillance operations.
