Featured ADS-B Feeder for February 2023: Henrik (Sweden) - EXTRPI003431

Henrik, AirNav RadarBox ADS-B feeder in Svalöv, Sweden

Hej Sverige! This month's featured feeder is Henrik from Sweden, an aviation lover and radio amateur. He is a new feeder who has been sharing ADS-B data with AirNav RadarBox since January 2023.

"For over 10 years, I wanted to have my antenna and station. So when I started researching ADS-B antennas and receivers, I found RadarBox products on Amazon. Good price, quality, and delivery. Fast! When I discovered the RB, I also installed the app. Since the day I found RadarBox on Google, I have only used this one. It's a great app and website!",  says Henrik.

Henrik suggests installing the antenna on a fixed mast that doesn't move and locating the coax cable in such a way as to minimize exposure to the elements (sun, wind, rain, etc.).

"Safety first if you are mounting it high above the ground on a ladder. Make a good plan before you start the installation, and do it in the correct sequence. If you use an antenna mast, it can be quite a high and heavy package together with the antenna. It's not so easy to handle on a ladder. If possible, ask for help to do the installation." he says.

"I get the feeling that I'm "closer" to the airplanes than before. It's great to see that my antenna is working and get information from the airplanes around, and I was shocked about the coverage I got! Another great thing is when it's up and running, it's just running and provides so much joy. It's also nice to hopefully come in contact with other people who have the same interest. If someone wants to join me for a trip to Kastrup, Copenhagen, to spot airplanes, I'm on!", he's says about his experience sharing ADS-B data with AirNav.
