Featured ADS-B Feeder for December 2023: Jason Wolfram (PGANRB500756) - Paramaribo, Suriname
Jason Wolfram, RadarBox feeder, in Suriname
Greetings, aviation enthusiasts! Today, we feature Jason Wolfram, a dedicated RadarBox feeder from Paramaribo, Suriname. Let's delve into his setup and passion for flight tracking and aviation directly from South America.
Paramaribo, Suriname
Paramaribo is the capital and largest city of Suriname, located on the banks of the Suriname River in the Paramaribo District. The city has roughly 241,000 people (2012 census), almost half of Suriname's population.

Jason embarked on his RadarBox journey on January 8th, 2021. Since then, he has been an integral part of the ADS-B community. Wolfram's antenna stands tall on a galvanized pole, reaching 25 feet from ground level. With the assistance of a friend, he securely mounted the antenna in his backyard and strategically affixed it to the wall of his house.
For fellow feeders, Jason offers valuable advice – aim for the skies! Setting up your antenna as high as possible ensures optimal signal reception. Sturdiness is vital, ensuring your setup can withstand various weather conditions.
Unfortunately, Jason couldn't capture a photo of himself with the antenna in the back due to the antenna's lofty position. However, he generously shares a glimpse of his station, installation site, antenna, and picturesque surroundings.
He first discovered RadarBox through a friend with the same passion for feeding. Operating under the station name PGANRB500756, this connection ignited Jason's interest, leading him to become an avid feeder himself.
What's the allure of having a RadarBox station? According to Jason, tracking flights in real-time is a thrill. He loves having the live map open on his second screen while working, clicking on aircraft within range to identify them. His memorable experiences include tracking Google Loon balloons overhead in 2021. Additionally, Jason enjoys sending screenshots to his pilot friends when he knows they're flying overhead, receiving Google Maps pins of their destinations within hours.
