On the 24th of May, Boeing announced that Ethiopia's flag carrier has signed a firm order for five more Boeing 777Fs - the freighter version of the Triple Seven.

The carrier had also signed a purchase intent for five Boeing 777-8F aircraft. The Boeing 777F has a range of 9,200 kilometers (4967 nautical miles) and can carry up to 107 tonnes of cargo, reducing the number of flight hours and avoiding technical stops due to the aircraft's range.

The Addis Ababa-based airline currently has three converted Boeing 737Fs, and 80 Boeing aircraft, including Boeing 737s, 767s, 777s, and Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
