China Southern Airlines Airbus A380-800 (B-6140) - Rohan Patel - AirTeamImages.com
China Southern Airlines operated its last Airbus A380 flight on Monday, November 7. The last flight of the Chinese carrier's 10-year-old A380 (B-6139) operated flight CZ328 between Los Angeles (LAX/KLAX) and Guangzhou (CAN / ZGGG).
China Southern Airlines was the only carrier to operate the giant of the skies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The airline is now in the final stages of retiring its fleet of five Airbus A380s. The Guangzhou-based airline sent two of its A380s to the Mojave Desert for disassembly in early 2022. Three remaining aircraft have yet to leave the carrier's fleet.
