The Boeing Company achieved a profit of $567 million (GAAP) / $ 755 million (non-GAAP), in Q2 2021 versus a $2.4 billion net loss in the same period last year due to COVID-19 advancement in the US and worldwide.

After six quarters of losses, Boeing recorded a positive profit in Q2 2021, granting the aircraft manufacturer to preserve jobs and gradually recover from the losses and effects of the pandemic and issues with the Boeing 737 MAX.

The Boeing Group actually employs 140,000 people worldwide, and due to the uncertainties of the pandemic, the company intended to retain up to 130,000 employees. However, with these favorable numbers in the face of a wave of events, Boeing will cut fewer jobs and maintain its workforce of 140,000 employees.

One of the reasons for the American manufacturer's revenue increase was a substantial number of deliveries and orders for the 737 MAXs, which were forbidden from flying for almost two years after two accidents involving the MAX family.

Nonetheless, the Boeing 737 MAX was authorized to fly again in late 2020. Since then, Boeing has delivered 130 aircraft to airlines worldwide and recorded a 44% improvement in revenue to $17 billion.

It is worth noting that the commercial division is still recording loss-making numbers and that Boeing has recently been experiencing problems with the Boeing 787s.

Although one of Boeing's bets is the defense, space, and security division, whose revenue increased 4% in Q2 2021, and respectively, the customer service division grew 17%.
