AirNav RadarBox Features: Runway in Use

Recently, we've brought you a new feature on our website: Runways in Use. As the name suggests, this feature shows the use of a particular runway at a given airport for landings or take-offs — one of the exclusive features of AirNav RadarBox.

This information is available on both the RadarBox homepage as well as airport pages. On the airport page, you'll find this on the right side of the page. Along with real-time weather & time zone data, you'll see the active runway being used for takeoffs and landings.

Airport info - Runways in use at London Heathrow Airport

By clicking on a specific airport or an airport you are looking for, you can find this feature on the left side of the website under the items: "Runway in use for takeoff" or "Runway in use for landing".

For example, the most used runways for takeoffs and landings at London Heathrow Airport are:

  • Runway in use for landing: 27L (100%)
  • Runway in use for take off: 27L (100%). 

Therefore, the most used runway for landings and take-offs at London Heathrow Airport is respectively 27L. However, according to information, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and low air traffic, Heathrow Airport is using only one runway for landings and takeoffs: the 27L.
